kinda wish i had read the comments before i tried to get this quest. i wasnt able to, not surprising its a big avatar. also why are people slamming on questies? i started out pc, then to quest and now im pcvr, yeah i mean some things might be a bit of a pain to try to get quest and itll take extra time sure but at least half of the game will be able to see what you are and not just a bland robot. also not all questies are bad, and not all pc players are good. theres bad and both ends, idk why people argue over that

If ya'll are wanting to make PC avis quest compatible, you have two options (that I know of). The lazy way (using quest tools. I don't recommend this though), OR spend hours fixing the model in blender (this requires blender knowledge but YOUTUBE VIDS ARE EVERYTHING) and manually making it optimized. I highly recommend checking out Noelia's server. She has GREAT PC to Quest conversion tips. Most of what I learned is from her.

The ratio of PC users to Quest users in VRChat (according to the most recent numbers) was about half and half last year, with Quest users having a slight lead over PCVR users. It's not about whether PCVR users wanted Quest users in the game or not. As we all know, VRChat is a business, and VRChat saw an opportunity to make money by cashing on the influx of Oculus Quest 2 users. You "PC babies" can cry all you want, but we're not going anywhere. As to your second point, you're probably right, but who's to say. It's only your opinion after all, and you know what they say about opinions. Yes, how dare a company actually make an affordable VR headset that your average person can afford... 🤣 You sound just as toxic as the VRModels site moderator that runs the "bot" account. It's also quite hard to convey emotion through text, so how are we to know if something is said in jest without the conveyance of emotion that face to face speech brings? Lastly, I say this to everyone who says "it's not hard to make an avi Quest compatible," put your money and your skills where your mouth is and have a go at this one then.

Just saying: Quest was never accepted into the vrchat community. I'm a pc questie, but none of the PCVR, desktop, or FBT Users ever wanted quest in the game. Not all questies are bad yeah no shit, but most questies are either squeakers, little kids who should NOT be on the game, pedos, or people that just wanna cause issues. I know people that have been on the game for years well before quest came out, and they remember how angry the community was when vrc let them in. Reason why is just quests are too affordable and the wrong people get their hands on it. Also, they didn't mean it as "Oh just get a pc dumb questie" They were just joking. Also its not hard to make an avi quest compatible.

The main gripe that my good friend was (unjustly) banned over (and what started this whole thing), and what I believe she was trying to say was that it was initially advertised that this avatar came with a Quest compatible version and an optimized version, when it in fact did not.

Ohhh fella, I know how to use Unity, at least enough to upload and convert an avatar for VRChat (providing that it can be converted). I've spent the time looking up tutorials online, and have several bookmarked in my browser for quick access, so don't tell me that I'm "not trying hard enough."

If you don't know how to offer constructive support instead of harsh criticisms, you should learn, it's surprisingly easy. You also shouldn't put words in people's mouths, or in this case, at the tips of their fingers. Nobody wrote in the comments that it's "stupid and impossible." I have also never demanded that someone do something for me. If I find an avatar can't be uploaded for whatever reason, I move on. It's as simple as that.

You, however, have written several times in replies that people should just "Learn to use Unity," instead of offering assistance. Not very supportive for someone who claims their place of residence as "Support."

Even after removing unnecessary items from a model & compressing the textures, the file sizes can still be too large for the maximum Quest model upload size of 10 mb, even if you compress every single texture to the lowest possible value (32).

If you don't know how to use Unity, you should learn. It's easy, and oddly enough, there are plenty of tutorials on the internet on Unity. But a lot of people don't want to do it and just sit there and write in the comments. That it's impossible and so on.
If you don't know how to use Unity, learn. And don't write in the comments that it's stupid and impossible, and especially don't ask or demand to do it for you or give you something ready-made.
Those who don't know unity and don't want to learn - those people simply don't belong on this project.

Converting this model into a quest is very easy. Give it some thought. And remove unnecessary items from the model.

What I am saying is that it is beyond the current skill set of myself and any average Unity user who lacks experience with any advanced techniques that it may take to get the file size down from 27 megabytes (after converting/compressing the textures) to 10 mb. If you are able to do it, then by all means.

Also, again, my own opinion here, I think you overreacted in Artemis's case by banning her for making the issue known when other users have done the same thing and not faced punishment. You called her "rude," but maybe you ought to look in a mirror yourself.

I'm aware that I may face your wrath for calling out your toxic behavior, but it's a risk I'm willing to take.

I already use VRC Quest Tools to convert avatars for Quest, but as I mentioned, some of the filesizes for avatars are still too large after converting the avatar and compressing the textures/pruning off assets.

It's not a matter of "not trying hard enough."

From what I see, there are other users who were upset that this model didn't come with a Quest version themselves, and this is just my observation.

Converting a model for Quest is easy with the right experience, however, not all users will have the same amount of experience in Unity when it comes to optimizing a project on their own. I have had a look at this avatar myself, and it has a LOT of texture files. These are strictly my own opinions here. In my own experience, even after doing everything I could, I still was not able to get this avatar down to the 10 megabyte limit to be used on Quest.

It doesn't take much time to translate a model into a quest. You can do it yourself. If you don't like not optimising the model, optimise it yourself. After all, it's not difficult.
