    I did not figure this out myself, I only found it online on reddit but if you have the Gesture mask layer issue like I did, they said this:

    Go to your Gesture Layer, select first layer (AllParts) inside it, click the little settings wheel next to it, select the mask "vrc_HandsOnly"

    To get to the Gesture Layer, just click on the "Select" button next to the error on Builder. I'll be testing it shortly but it at least allows the upload.

    Nadur, Are you possibly still allowing others to clone the avatar for pc? keep having the gesture layer needs valid mask on first animator layer bug pop up and nothing has been fixing it, so cloning might be the only way I can get it to work

    Mine was fine, and I've seen a lot of people with this avatar working fine, so not sure what issue you are having, sorry!

    Easy fix, just add colliders to your hands I believe, either than or you have interact or self interact off in-game.

    I wanted to use this avatar but sadly the head is not attached to the body in game. And the neck is glitched. Does anyone know how to fix it

    sorry I don't usually come back to posts! When your hand is stuck or "claw hand" my fix is usually to remove the default hand masks in the fx controller. That should fix it. People use to just use an old sdk but no one was ever sure which one. Some other also decide to try to make their own gestures :x

    If you go to the original post of the avi from the creaters gumroad, itll tell you what you need to import, with links to them as well, go there and import those as well when you try again

    Unfortunately, im having an issue now though, where the gestures on the right hand are not moving at all, and its stuck at a point .

    I have 0 unity knowledge. I have no idea how to fix this avatar to upload. I only know enough to drag and drop files and then click upload. Can someone tell me what to do because I don't want to take a class to fix this.

    On the Unity VRC sdk, it keeps on saying "Gesture Layer needs valid mask on first animator layer"

    Any idea how to fix ? or was that stated in your comment.

    -Import the most recent poiyomi, sdk, and dps you have in your project. I always like to put in dynamic bones just in case!
    -Import the tools, textures, matcaps, gimmicks, etc... you want to use if you plan on editing the avatar or adding anything.
    -Import the Tyoma unity package, and then find the tyoma scene after the import finishes. It's called "Tyoma" and has a white unity symbol, like the package but without the black background.
    -There is a script error in Tyoma's main camera in the hierarchy, so either just delete it, or put a new camera in.
    -Also if you don't want claw hands, remove the default masks for the FX layer under the hands and all parts.
    -If you want to check if the toggles and animations work, put lyuma emulator into the package.

    I personally use my own poses and emotes so I got rid of the gesture layer, the locomotion menu and parameters, and changed the loco and action layer of the avatar, then added my emote sub menu. Also just a tip: If you create a project with avatars that use the same poiyomi and sdk and there is no conflicts ont he import pages, you can put multiple avatars in one package. I usually go to like 15 avatars max or the project will take forever to load in and it's not worth it to me.
