Would that potentially hide the leg warmers in game? What I did was go to the avatar's FBX and under the setting Normals, switched it from 'Import' to 'None'. Worked just as well. Not sure which method is better, though.

Open a new project of Unity 2019.4.31f1, then import the VRChat SDK, then import the latest Poiyomi Toon, then DPS (optional, but costs $10 if you don't have it already), and then add the avatar package and open the cube looking scene thing.

If your PC is broken, though, there's no helping you.
