    1 Its a bit world dependant how bad they look because rendering is mainly light manipulation editing. and that world is HORRID on mats...it makes everything look cartoon.
    2 creators are pushing them out too fast to make money and arent putting time into good material creation. I'd suggest learning materials a bit and editing them.
