❖ A basic understanding of how to upload avatars for VRChat (I have created an upload guide to make the upload process easy)Upload Guide (If you need help setting up the VRChat Creator Companion, follow this guide):
Open the VRChat Creator Companion and click on Settings on the bottom left, then the Packages tab.
If you do not already have it, add the VRCFury Repository by clicking the ⊕ Add Repository button on the right, and pasting the link provided in this step
(Optional) I also recommend adding both the https://poiyomi.github.io/vpm/index.json and the https://wholesomevr.github.io/SPS-Configurator/ as well, using the same method as step 2. If it has been added correctly, it should look something like this.
Head back to Projects on the top left, and click the blue Create New Project button on the top right. Now select the Unity 2022 Avatar Project box on the top right, give the project a name, and click the blue Create Project box on the bottom.
The Manage Packages screen should now be showing, and now we will now add the packages to the project we have added in steps 2 and 3. To do that, press the ⊕ symbol for VRCFury, wholesome© SPS Configurator, and Poiyomi Toon Shader. (I do also recommend adding the Gesture Manager that is already included with the Creator Companion). Now we can go ahead and click the blue Open Project box on the top right and it will open the project in Unity.
It's time to bring Layla into our Project! Drag the Layla v1.1 - R Y N N.unitypackage into the Project / Assets Folder, and click Import on the popup window. (If steps have been followed correctly, when imported you may see red and yellow text in the console. Not to worry as most avatars do the same and can be safely ignored!)
Navigate to the new !Layla - R Y N N folder, and double click on the Layla scene, and the avatar will appear in the project!
Now we can proceed to Upload! Click on the VRChat SDK tab on the top and click Show Control Panel. Sign in with your VRChat account, and under the Builder tab, we can fill out the avatar info. Once that's set, we can go ahead and check the box under Online Publishing at the bottom and click the Build & Publish button. Now your new avatar will be uploaded to VRChat! <3
