Description
Fish literally anywhere with the Otherworldly fishing rod. With an insane amount of different fish to catch and a progression system built in that gives you literally hours of gameplay.
Fishing can be done with a vr-compatible minigame where you align the fishing rod, or automatically if you wanna just chill, or even use it entirely on desktop.
Grab any fish you catch, it will display the name of the fish + the name of the person that drew the sprite (which have almost all been community sources on my discord server.
You can even put it up to your head (or another persons head) to eat it, yummers.
Built in save and load system, and persistent leveling.
You can save up to 6 fish you have caught and load them back up at any time to brag to your friends about the crazy cool fish you caught.
Additionally, the inbuilt progression system is persistent across instances (unless you reset your avatar ofcourse).
You can decide the height and distance your fish at, so you can sit and fish in any world.
Or.. fish on the actual floor, who knows what lurks beneath that.
512 unique fish to fish up.
6 or so special rare effects.
Variations of rare effects.
Random sizes from tiny to gigantic.
Creating a nearly unlimited amount of unique outcomes where no fish will probably ever be the exact same.

Choose up to 3 different gestures to use as the cast gesture.
Disable or enable minigame.

Remove fish water movement (makes it so a hooked fish wont move around in the water).
Eat fish.
Grab fish and display its name and art creator.

Differences to pc version:
Fish will be a flat image instead with no transparency.
Fish name cannot be displayed
Special effects are replaced with a glowing border with a random color.
Fishing rod shader is very slightly simpler looking, but otherwise nearly identical.
No sounds.
Syncs with pc version flawlessly.
32 Ingame Unlockable Fishing Rod Skins
As you fish, you will gain experience.
Your experience is displayed in a canister next to your fishing rod locally when you open the skins menu.
it takes 30 fish to gain 1 level.
When you level up, you unlock a new fishing rod skin
32 different unique skins in total to unlock.
In theory it will on average take you:
10 hours to unlock all skins if you fish automatically without minigame.
5 hours if you fish actively with the minigame.
