Its really just an incentive to share models with everyone. "Hey you upload models we dont have, you get a little something for being generous in return".
Its your choice to not upload, im not shaming you. but not all assets are super expensive. I only buy here and there, very cheap assets that get you the same Upload % as avatars. Im almost at 100% already. Im doing it because i dont trust crypto enough. All the pro side has is booth models, theres other sites for those if you dont wanna use any other options given.

You can also upload assets and avatars till the progress bar is at 100% if you cant buy pro. Idk how crypto works so i cant speak on it other than that you can pay via crypto

Irs not really confusing. The bottom of the site has an about us tab. Click it and technical support is right there.
And the wiki, right across from it explains certain payment methods arent allowed.
They made everything needed accessible, you just have to look.

Most downloads are usually zips, .rars, or straight unity packages from this site. Its odd your computer is downloading them as html files instead. You should fiddle around w your archive program or download settings because i dont think thats the site doin it (like vrmodels bot said). Its odd ive never heard of that before

Hello I am sorry If this is like a wierd question but most of the avatars that I go and download dont actually download the unity project instead its a html file. The only avis that I am able to download are avatars uploaded on different sites just linked trough here.

To remove an avatar you have to file a legal DMCA. Good luck finding that tab.

a92553, you are probably using an old version of the vrc sdk. the more recentones or the Vrchat Creator Companion one allows up to 256 parameters

Due to current world situation most places will be blocked like paypal. Youll need to pay via crypto. The only way someone could buy it for you is if they either a. Nab your account info, or b. Give you a pro code. But im not sure. Most pay via crypto. If you dont like those options you can also upload avatars and assets till it hits the 100% mark.

To my knowledge the only limit is your storage and how fast your internet is lol

The only way youd get in trouble is if you told others you were ripping. The worst theyll do is report your vrc account. It only really matters if ppl know youre a ripper if you plan to be active in the vrc creation community.
Tldr just dont tell people youre ripping avis and youll be fine

The states (idk about other countries) actually have many laws on the internet to protect its users. From cyber bullying to malware, you can actually be charged for cyber crimes (catch all term lol) but its hard to be charged since its the internet and any proof of crimes can also be faked. Idk the specifics of legal ramifications to mass spreading malware tho

Yes, they check every file for viruses. Its a lot safer than other sites.
Models that do have something end up deleted very quickly for the safety of the sites users c:

CryptidQrow, It's not creepy, it's easy. It's just that people don't take into account the transfer fee. It ends up being $14.5, not $15. Naturally, those payments won't go through. It says all over the place, take the fee into account. But 67% of people just sneeze at it.

And not finding technical support on a website simply means not looking for it. As a last resort, you can always write to private messages. But the person himself does not want to do anything.

Same goes for anyone having issues with acquiring pro since most of you are having trouble with recieving pro after paying.

Just upload assets and models till ypu get 100%. Theyll give you pro free for that if youre not comfortable with crypto (thats what im doing; crypto is spooky)

Is there ever going to be a separate tab for assets? Like, I know they're under "models" but I specifically mean to better sort them. Aka, have the option to specifically look for clothes, tails, ears, etc. There are assets that aren't even under the "model" tab, so it seems like the only way I can find them is via pure luck.
