Hey guys just a suggestion, dont use your username from twitch, discord, steam, etc for a username here, ive been seeing alot of people getting blacklisted for that type of stuff, just stay safe and use a random name or like a random name generator just to be on the safe side.

Back in the day we had a way to see what avatars where already uploaded into pro, but for some obvious reasons that's not possible anymore. Still out of the 60 booth avatars I had like only 5 where not already in the site.

Originally I think a lot of people took it as a way to get around stuff that was priced absurdly. Though its been brewing for a while so now it seems more like a giant box of all types of assets. Personally I dislike ripping stuff like the black cat but ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Haha hey same person that messaged me too and I sent two models to! I ended up just blocking them since I clear DMs a lot and forget who I've messaged.

I don't mind helping out fellow pirates at ALL, but just be honest and don't lie about having stuff to trade. I will happily trade with you/give models without trade if you just ask and are honest about it ^^'

Today I got "hacked" through discord DM, a friend of mine linked a game he was supposedly making. As soon as I run the file in my pc I lost access to my discord account. Be carful in case some one dm u something similar.

tbh it is kinda sad to see that they gone to this level of promotion. imo it's really scummy to promote yourself like this. Most servers I know only do discord server partnerships and that, which is what they did originally and I don't see why they couldn't of just done that again. It puts them at no greater risk of the server getting taken down. Sure things like emails and phone numbers are easliy available for marketing, but thats corporate marketing, where no doubt the data is handled way more sensitivly than how it's been handled here. I would've said they're an okay site, but after this disregard for peoples personal information, I'm not sure about them anymore

I'm glad I'm not the only one who got a message last night about the same site ya'll are talking about, the weird thing is i use two different emails, one for my discord and one for this site, but somehow I still received a message about the site. that's what is most concerning to me right now

i got a text too and the site SEEMS legit i downloaded a model off of it and it worked fine but yea definitely not gonna use them if they’re gonna pull creepy stunts like that to get customers lol. took my phone number off my discord and other stuff and blocked the number immediately after i got the text

Honestly it's the calling out that I use vrmodels that spooks me, It's all well and good that they got my number from telemarketers, but linking it to my vrmodels account is sketch as fuck on their part

Never actually used my personal original email and discord ~ for Authorisation.. went there once.. Just remove their access from your discord.
Always use a fake email id for such sites.

They said they used an information broker to get ahold of everyone's phone numbers through places like Go/o/gl/e, F/B, S/t/e/a/m, H/u/l/u. Not gonna lie that's pretty invasive and going pretty deep to snatch people's information and cause panic like that.

Through Y/a/h/o/o and other email sites, they require a phone number to create an account. That's still not public access so they had to have breached some where and stolen the information. Besides, their terms of service state they will never share information or phone numbers with out contacting the user first. I've never agreed to anything anyways.

Well VRM doesnt have any of our numbers, i don't think they ask for that, so a breach here would only give our emails, which isnt what they contacted us by. It's pretty strange
