We don't recommend using Discord for this. Usually Discord accounts are quickly blocked for such things.

I understand your frustration but there are consequences for what you try to upload.

Instead of saying things like "there are HUNDREDS of ripped avis. How are the creators of those not blocked? This is bs."
take a moment and understand these are still PEOPLE running a website. Shit can slip past moderation, early uploads are still available from when moderation wasn't to what it is now, and you shouldn't bother uploading ripped packages as most are broken and not gonna help you or anyone with an upload.
They have to take action against ripped packages and it can't always be a slap on the wrist and strong "don't do that" because nobody listens/reads anyways. Do not go by what is uploaded previously and instead just get real packages.

i always uploaded unity packages inside a zip. There a A LOT ripped models in here that you didnt remove. Why is that?

If you're not happy with the fact that we don't allow ripped models, then you can leave the project.
Priority is given to complete packages, not ripped ones. We see no point in rip models when you can always find and upload the original.

I'll see what I can find on it, I can't remember if I fully fixed the same problem I had a couple years ago.
You can try and contact the trader and request a new package that's actually properly exported in the mean time.

So that actually worked, removing the .gz -- To an extent everything looks and seems to be normal.
Though once I tried to use the Unity package of the avatar itself, now it's saying "Failed to import package with error: Couldn't decompress package."

I believe this is from an improper export of a package, it basically a game engine package for Unity.
It should all work as attended but keep the persons name just in case.

I don't remember exactly what to do but you can try renaming the file and removing the .gz or if you have WinRAR you should be able to open and export the files within to your choice in location on your computer.

I'm not sure the best place to ask this question since it's not Unity or Blender based -- so figured here maybe would be okay?
Someone traded me an avatar file but it's in .gz format. I've never seen that before so I don't know how to unzip it.

We don't really understand why people use gumroad. After all, it takes its own commission. It's better to make your own and have no commissions.
Spamming links to gumroad on discord servers is a lost cause. After all, on many servers the mere mention of gumroad in any chatbot can both get you banned from the server... or just delete the link. Depending on the settings of the bot and the Discord server.
Of course, you can also create your own Discord server. And send rss with information about your models, but then again. Discord rules - it's forbidden to share models. And with a small number of complaints you'll just get blocked.
Discord, in our opinion, is better not to use at all. Or always sit through a VPN. Because Discord developers, if need be from their side - will leak all your correspondence, etc. Not counting their stupid rule about not sharing models. If you want to communicate, there is nothing better than Telegram+VPN.
And if you think hard about it. Telegram also has groups + channels for groups. Where you can come up with a lot of things, too :).
But there is nothing better than your own service.

And to be clever, there are link reduction services. No one prevents shorten link gumroad and share it on the servers. Bots will not do anything in this case

The best option is to use your own service for this one. After all, discord is not the best place to do it. And the distribution of models in discord by their rules is prohibited. And Jinxxy and other services will link to your service. This should not be a problem.
