I uploaded them as anonymous (Not so anonymous anymore). I would like to change the links or have an admin change it for me. They are quite popular so i think it would be in best interest we get them back up to full speed

Not sure why you are condoning the harassing behaviour of one of your members as well as screenshotting a report that I made based on this users' inflammatory comments just to post it for the public. I have gotten answers here, that is why I keep asking. Besides, technical support is supposed to be support for technical problems. I do not have any technical problems, therefore I do not write to technical support. I thought this should be a given. Also, this would all be mute if the FAQ or WIKI pages included this basic information. It does not, and there is no help section specifically for pro. This is why I am here.... Many people have these exact same questions. If you allow me to moderate the WIKI or FAQ pages, I'd be more than happy to add these basic answers so you don't encounter an avoidable problem like this again in the future.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm complaining about the site. I get the impression it's a small 'project'. But as with any exchange of money, I wouldn't give a cent to charity if I didn't know a good amount about what that charity has to offer. As far as I'm concerned, it's no different here. PrIsMaTiSm, I feel like a lot of that information is irrelevant. You seem to be worrying about things that don't apply to you yet or don't really even matter that much. If you had pro you could figure out the refresh time easily, as it tells you once you run out of downloads for the day. It's not like you're spending a life savings on pro, if you are that interested in it just pay a few bucks and try it out.

And about Vision, I think the reason they got a bit irritated is because you came off extremely defensive after you weren't satisfied with their response. They answered your question as best they could and you immediately started arguing and saying that answer wasn't good enough.

On another note, you expect everything on this website to be perfect, but it is run by mostly one person, so for what it is I think it's very well put together. Support tries their best to incorporate community suggestions into the site and does a very good job, maybe you should stop complaining about what features aren't included and appreciate what support does; they pay for the server, design the website, and add features all on their free time.

I also just found out that there is a download limit for pro per day. When this limit resets is unclear. It seems the development section outlines a 6:00 reset, but the only other information on a limit of any sort is when you click buy for pro and you see a sentence describing a 10 avatar per day limit with no reset time outlined. Is this reset 6:00AM every day? 6:00PM? Which time zone, is it 6:00AM/PM based on IP?

I believe VisionDesigns has been more hostile in responses than anything, hardly useful. I don't appreciate being talked down to.

PrIsMaTiSm, Vision answered you pretty clearly in my opinion. There used to be a list of available models to normal users but they took it down due to some issues I don't even remember anymore. If you like booth models and want access, either pay or upload models. Nobody is forcing you to do anything; there is no list for normal users, and there won't be one no matter how much you ask. So simply put the only way for you to know if you want pro is to try it out yourself.

In my opinion pro is VERY worth it. But not everybody thinks so. There are a lot of models, and if you are looking for something specific you will probably find it.

The only reason I talked about the pro upload credit system is because you seemed to not realize why someone would upload to pro if they did not have access to it. This leads me to believe you honestly didn't know this was a thing and just now had to learn about it from me. (it isn't "statistics" its a percentage)

You are correct I never asked about uploading models for pro. So why are you talking about it? I'm not sure why you think that my asking for clarification means I am being smart with you.

Also, that question I asked has a direct bearing on this "project". How does uploading work posted by yourself on Booth to get free pro not affect this "project"? By not providing any additional content for the community whilst not paying for anything to get the premium features involved with this "project" maybe? See what I'm getting at here? Calling it a "dumb question to ask" is more than a little humorous.

Why keep the list hidden anyway? Little point if the site offers a way to search the entirety of the pro section for a name that matches. If I were a creator on Booth, this 'feature' would be what prompts me to file a DMCA complaint. The effect is the same, so it seems if they plan on keeping the search feature, they might as well also place pictures with them. Otherwise, get rid of the feature entirely...

I see your point in that if people could see the list they might want to buy/work for Pro, BUT if there's a public way to view, then there's a public way for things to be taken down. This project is not entirely focused on money money money.

You never asked about uploading models for Pro, you only complained about not seeing the Pro section and not having Pro. Which I gave you many clear answers, that you ignored. If it's such a simple task you've come up with, than do it and get your Pro.

Another question. What is stopping someone from ripping an avatar, putting it on booth for an exorbitant amount of money, then uploading it here to the pro section with a link to the booth page? Seems like an easy way to get pro in like 5 avatars.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough so I will reiterate once more, just for you... The only way I figured out how to see what the pro section has is by acting like I'm uploading to the pro section and viewing the names that the website shows are the same or similar to the one I type in the name field. I then search these names on Booth...
It has nothing to do with why I'd upload there, but to answer the off-topic question you asked, one gets 10-33% per avatar uploaded to the pro section vs. 4% for the public domain. This is most likely why someone would prefer to upload some to the pro section, especially if they have some avatars they have purchased from Booth previously they would like to share, its so they don't have to upload 25 avatars to the site to get free pro for a month. Surely you knew this though???

Anyway, the most informative you have been so far is by saying how many avatars are contained within pro. This was the first time you have bothered explain to me why the avatars are in the pro section to begin with by the way. Don't act like you've explained this to me before..
I'm not going to bother reading ALL previous comments to figure out if you've said that to someone in the past or not.

As I stated before, there is more to the private section than I can explain. There are no Public options to view whats available as it will cause more things to be taken down. I won't bother going over this again if you do not understand.

As I've also explained in the past, if you don't have Pro or access to it why bother uploading to the private section?
There's an option to "Check if it's on the site" for a reason (for non-pro users). This is the easiest way for staff to let you know what's on the site without having a public viewing.

If you do not like my answers, make a request in # Development and get the answer once more. You can even complain about me if you so feel like it.

I do think that a picture could change the choice of purchase.. In the meantime, I have been able to view a few available avatars by inputting a title in the upload to Booth section and copying any titles that match and searching Booth for those names.

I shouldn't have to do this though. I imagine VRModels would get many more people that are willing to purchase pro if customers just know what's in the inventory by a simple list with pictures.

Yes. Most things are kept up to date, they're not all going to be instantly changed but within a couple days the packages would be updated to the latest versions.
If you still want to try and upload make a request to do so, as the website will tell you if it's already on the website. PLEASE CHECK if it's on the website before bothering the staff.

Hi all, out of curiosity, are booth models in Pro kept up to date? Say if a model was uploaded last year, but has gone through various updates; would that version be the download? Or is it okay to upload the newest version of an avatar if it looks like the booth one hasn't been updated?

I really want to buy Pro but there needs to be more USD options.

Look a picture is not gonna change the choice of purchase, to simply take a picture will not do the Pro section justice. There are roughly --XXX-- pro only models available excluding most tools, shaders, clothing, etc.

I am aware what is described pro contains, but it's hard to justify a purchase when I don't know the contents. To me it seems essentially like buying something on Ebay but never looking at the picture and assuming the seller is willing to ship what he describes as "housewares".

Question: I am interested in what pro has to offer, but I do not know how expansive the list is of private avatars or if it will be worthwhile in the long run. Is there any way to view the avatars available to see if one would like to buy pro or work towards getting it? Most cases if the "check if its on the site" button tells you its already on the site, its more than likely already there.

For the future don't expect other Pro/Trusted users to always check for you, I can have a look just to double check if its already on the site. Can you provide a name and me or someone can let you know soon?

Yep! The private section, I've uploaded a hairstyle to there before and the check to see if it's on the private section worked before. It's probably just something wrong with my browser. I'll change it in the morning :)

If not you can check the website using the search function at the top of the page. If the model isn't on the site and you still get a "model is already on the site" message, contact support for any false corrections.

I used to make avatars myself, I can tell you its not that much work compared to what it is now. There's plenty of clothing options for all types of models and bases, a ton of premade things that are stamp on and done. To bring up the blender work is useless as blender is barely any work nowadays. Don't even get me started on Unity, as there's hundreds of tools to do all of the "hard" work for you.

Bet you have downloaded models anyways so its a bit hypocritical of you to call everyone else out for uploading models. Unless your "friend" is making every possible thing on the avatars and setting up everything with crazy options WITHOUT the use of tools and stuff that does it for them I suggest you leave this project.


Mind the fact you went through the entire process of setting up an account with information about you, just to complain...
