Its because the way the tag filtering works, searching for the tag "male" will also include all female tags and any tag that is containing "male" since its doesn't search for the exact match. If you would for example tag something with whigmaleeries it will also show up when you search for male.

We don't really understand why we need to change that list. When there is a search box on the site. No one is stopping you from searching by name for this or that model.
But one way or another. What if you search through the string that in this list - you will not display all the models that exist in the private section. Most models are hidden from site search and can be seen and downloaded only by going to private section. Otherwise you will not see them. Alas, but it was made intentionally.
We do not block people for uploading models which already exist on the site. But these duplicate models of course will not be missed by our moderators. It's simple...

Would be cool if you guys could change the private list button [Show more (1 / 35)] , Clicking and scrolling 35 times is painfull to see if something has already been uploaded.

kysloser, If avatar creators want to earn money so bad they should model their own assets OR post them at a cheaper cost. I’ve mentioned this before, but I make avatars in blender from scratch and even though I do sell them (not for more than $20 lmao) I know that I’m posting them online and there’s a high chance they’re gonna get stolen. Making models for VRC isn’t a sustainable way to make money in the first place- either make something original or deal with the fact that you can’t copyright other peoples work as your own.

I mean, "creators" often steal from others all the time. Whether its ideas or literal assets from other games. Or, some take a ton of free assets that are made by others and put it on a model and then sell it for 45 a pop. Honestly, its the internet. Shit get cycled, if you don't like your stuff being on here then have it taken down.

There are payment systems - which under the new policy of September 10 this year - will not allow it. For example, your beloved paypal. And looking at the statistics - no one here wants to use anything other than paypal. So there is no point. So let's leave it at this point. Site is also randomly breaking here for me (at the moment its alright but sometimes it just stops working). I did find a workaround but its quite cumbersome). Opening the CSS/images and other webpage file that has a empty response by hand and refresh it until you burst the server cache (needs like 1-3 attempts for it to notice it has something wrong cached). it then starting to serve everything normally again for a while.

Not sure what triggers this issue but would be fun to investigate.

The server at the site is weak, so there are such errors. It is high time to replace it with a more powerful, but everything needs money - which is not there yet ((. On this until we suffer as it is...

Personally for me the site kept breaking randomly. Some pictures show, some dont, then the site just breaks completely. What worked for me was just clearing my cache and cookies, and restarting my pc a day later. Idk why it keeps breaking for people differently.

I am so astounded by the VRChat avatar community right now. My friend told me an avatar creator has a channel in their discord that’s literally for “shaming people” that use her avatars that didn’t buy them… Like honey you took assets and put them together, don’t throw a tantrum. That’s the reason I use this site- none of the avatars uploaded are from scratch, just people playing dress up and selling them for $40. Sorry for ranting, just in awe that people can be so rude over slapping some hair and clothes on a model and not making hundreds of dollars from it.

Oh also for anyone who’s gonna say “u don’t know what it takes to make an avatar” I make models FROM SCRATCH in blender, like base and all. Y’all ain’t doing shit with your weight painting and whatever.

Kinsmir, Yes!! On that note, upgrade ASAP because using the old supported Unity can break your projects. Literally making a world right now and had to upgrade to bake my lightmaps lmao

Apparently VRChat just had a update from Unity 2018.4.20f1 to 2019.4.29f1 so keep that in mind

I definitely think some more filter options will help the site a lot, like male/female avatars (and maybe DPS next to nsfw). Searching for tags already sort of does this but they aren't always properly used by everyone that uploads and they can be annoying because searching for "male" gives you all "female" avatars too so not entirely reliable.

But i don't think they will change any time soon since it requires a lot of work going through all models to apply tags to them, but i do think something like the system steam has for games to have the community (or just pro members) tag and vote for tags on models and if certain amount/ratio is met it will be applied could be of use here.

But that is also a lot of development work and time so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What do you all think of there being a sub-toggle on the NSFW toggle to show if an avatar has DPS?

Don't know when the current system came into place, but you need to upload three booth avatars to the private section.

Deisuke, Pro (depending on how you got it) is usually a monthly subscription

Ive also tried uploading through the "image" option before you submit, but it infinite loads for me. If anyone would be so kind as to help my stupidity that would be wonderful XD

You can use the search option if you know the name (or close approximate) for seeing which models are on the private section (example, search for "Eimear"). You can view the image/name in the search result but you are unable to click/open the page for them since they send you to how to access page instead.

Not sure if this was intend for the search function but this is how i did things.
