I'm trying to download the Aster Dragon, and I have the V1.1 and have followed the steps, but the Unity package is a Rar file. NOT an actual unity package. if I open that, there's an archtemp.tar file. I have NO idea what I'm supposed to do to get it working and into VR chat T.T

Hey, I don't know how to really advertise this, but i'm going to do it here. For a hobby, I have been messing with Unity and the VRChat SDK for over 2 and half years now. So after learning alot about the mechanics of Vrchat avis (Blendshapes, FX controllers, local and global parameters, contacts, etc), I decided that I want my skills to be used to help others.

lilbear9966, Double click on the avatar where you can see all the materials, then click on the shader and change it to poiyomi toon or whatever shader you want. should work most the time. Merry christmas!

I had just gotten into uploading avatars for myself so could explain stuff.
I got this issue after I had finished importing the shaders, vrcfury, that stuff and then I imported the avatar but there's an issue with the prefabs.

I open a project with the most recent VCC version and Unity editor 2022.3.22f1, importing poiyomi is fine and works but when I try to import the model the editor crashes... is anyone able to open and upload this avatar on their computer?

Hello all, I was wondering if somebody could help me learn how to convert 2.0 avis to 3.0 Vcc to avi. I'm getting back onto an old account and want my old avis to work like new but still have that old avi feel! Maybe add some new animations, some clothes and accessories. Hey ya'll!! I wanted to ask about an issue me and a friend were having with gogo loco. So recently my friend had gotten the files of the Spooky Sheety gal and did the whole quest conversion stuff, but when they went to import gogo on the avatar it seemingly broke (The blue boxes that normally appear with gogo wouldn't show, and when my friend imported a different version of gogo they reappeared BUT ended up causing the avatar to clip underground when using gogo as well as broke the second pages of the sits, lays, etc.) Is there any fix for this in particular or any advice? I want to be able to know how to fix future avatars if this bug happens more as well as help my friend in case they need to fix the gogo again.
I had asked someone in the comments for the avatar i mentioned about it, but I felt it was more appropiate to come here to ask as well incase i was bothering them.

goober123421, if you have an avi that is compatible with quest upload the pc one first and go into a new project to import the quest one, open the sdk after you sign in and if you go to where it says windows change it to android,then go into content manager and copy the id from the pc avi you uploaded and click on the quest one in the hierarchy and scroll down in the inspector tab unity you see blueprint id, paste the id from the pc avi in there and press attach then you can upload

CaffeinatedSoftie, its pretty simple, make another project with unity import the quest version of the avi and when you sign into the vrc sdk go into builder and where it says windows click it and change it to android, before you publish it you want to make sure its connected to the pc ver of the avi so go into content and copy the id of the pc version, go click on the avatar in hierarchy and in inspector paste the id into blueprint id then upload the avi

Anyone know how to upload avis straight from downloading them from here (and others who posted free avis online) in unity without any issues? It seems every damn time I try to upload some I downloaded, they have a slew of issues I have 0 idea I have to fix, even when trying to figure out how to fix them.

All I just want is to have multiple avatars I favorited on here and downloaded already on vrchat because I'm out of room for favorites and want to have them easily acessible...

I really appreciate any help and guidance, especially if somebody knows how to scale certain sections of avis easily, because I want to edit some I have.

help with avatar thumbnail. i get a failed upload if i use a custom image (the "select new thumbnail") i tried using the old way of getting custom thumbnails for avatars (plane that has material of image) but that dosent work, like if i point the camera to the plane of the image i get a failed upload and if i hid the plane it lets me upload... like wtf???no f way. is the sdk filtering NSFW from the thumbnails?!?!?

bunnikiti, did you add shaders to the package?? most avi's use poi/poi pro. if you did you might have to assign the shaders yourselfkirbygolf, there's no params selected for those toggles, where it says parameters, try finding one that says the same thing as the toggle, or the same name as the menu wheel

i found the toggles and theyre all set up perfectly fine, but it says "parameter not found o the active avatar descriptor" and when i google stuff for that error message they say that i should have the menu and parameters selected in the expressions menu, which it is (images included.)

hi! I'm trying to upload this avatar to VRChat, and I did that successfully, but when I use the avatar, the clothing and hair color toggles are missing from the customization wheel. Looking in the Unity file, I can see all the eye colors and clothing customizations, but in game it isn't accessing them. helloi did get the id from an avatar i had and placed it in the pipeline manger in the blueprint id and uploaded the quest version however it is not registered at all in the website and the color is only blue not blue and green
also there is no checkmark in this area
