Trying to convert to quest and does anyone know how to fix the makeup and eyebrows turning into boxes like that? Some avatars have material slots I can change to the VRC multiply option to make it transparent but how do you fix it when there's no material slot like that?

I deleted the layers just waiting to test it in game with a quest user. I did try uploading the quest conversion to both pc and quest and it looks just like what I see in unity but idk if that's only from me being a pc user.
Basically when I convert I unpack the prefab and remove any unwanted assets. Switch all the textures to VRC mobile etc, then I use
VRCQuestTools
to convert to quest, remove the bones to the max limit, then upload.

I will give a full answer later today after work if nobody has given you the answer yet.
You can start by removing all the menu and layers on the avatar and see if it fixes
Locomotion, Gestures, FX, Action
Main Menu and Parameters
(use default)
Altho it doesn't seem like a menu/fx layer problem and its that the conversion was a little messy and somethings were removed/deleted that shouldn't have been or just need adjusting.

, Do I need to delete the fbx for quest avis if my main platform is pc? Basically whatever I see in unity while converting them to quest, my quest friends don't see that in game. They'll see an avi with no hair, messed up clothes etc (basically undoing all the work I did to convert them).
I also have an issue when converting to quest for example when they have 2 hairs to choose from, the one I want to select will be greyed out in play mode where you test the bones. I assume play mode is what the avi will really look like in game because sometimes the appearance will change when hitting play mode. Anyway to make certain assets not greyed out like that? The hair will straight up remove itself and they'll be bald in play mode, or does it correct itself in game?

So when I convert avatars to quest and go into vrc to play, my quest friends see the avatar as super fucked up like when it's first imported before all the textures etc are fixed? Why is that? How do I fix that?

could be a number of things... FX layer, Parameters, Animations, etc. something could be messed up. Might I ask which model it is you're having trouble with?

Its normal map is probably flipped causing it to appear see through, this would have to be fixed in Blender

What errors are in the console window? hit clear before hand to know what major errors are shown.

The Avatar floating could be the size difference between the PC and Quest version or if it has GoGoLoco or other locomotion fixes that have to do with scaling/floating/flying.
The materials being Pink is a failed material error, you should make a new project with only the Quest version, making sure the shaders are VRChats Mobile shaders and trying the upload again. Don't forget to copy the Blueprint ID over.

If you do not understand basic Unity, I do not want to explain from the group up what to do. Maybe someone will but you're better off video hunting or searching through the creator of GoGo Locos social outputs.

Hey so i tried to upload a pc & quest avatar pc version works perfectly but in the quest version in game the skin of the avatar looks pink and in unity it doesnt? Idk how to fix that. Second is that in game for quest ppl they see me floating and not on the ground and idk why that happens either could someone help me?

my goto way to fix them now is to goto the animator change the mask in the fx to NONE{the settings cog} on allparts,left hand,right hand and if that doesnt do it i would download better guestures and just replace the gestures in the playable layers to the betetr gestures. havent seen a pair of hands i havent fixed yet in about 30+ avatars.

For the growing need for Gesture fixes and facial expressions I strongly suggest to those to learn how to make their own and you will have a better understanding of what the problem may be. I know this is not the answer most want to hear but it will dramatically help you instead of relying on this channel.
There's is a short
wiki
for how to fix the most common issues those have been having but to those who have broken their packages more, learning to make your gestures is far more beneficial for you. Plenty of YouTube tutorials for you to learn how.

I've been able to fix a lot of Avatars with replacing the hand gestures with a different set..
However one
specific
avatar I've been tampering with has been nothing but trouble, I need guidance. I've fixed one avatar by the exact same creator without any trouble. The one I am working on now. I've changed out the hand poses, nothing. Then somehow, I completely broke the facial gestures & toggles. I've restarted this project 3-4 times now from scratch with no positive results.
If someone would be willing to help me out I would appreciate it. I can give you Avatars for your time.

so after finding another fix for claw/broken hands i ran into another problem, now when press one button it moves both hands. and does the same emote does anyone know how 2 fix that?

Check for errors in the Console window, there are tool giving errors stopping you from uploading. Could also be missing scripts located on the avatar.
When having Blueprint ID errors, you only need to detach the ID not replace it. The only reason you need to replace is if you're overwriting a different avatar or making a cross compatible avatar.

guys im almost certian i found a fix for claw ands if its either 1 or 2 i fixed 3 avatgars sofar and its wayy ezer then othere have tried 2 show me and i thank dayriiin for is post

Are you removing the Blueprint ID before you start the upload process? Removing while in "play mode" will not work.
You can check your console window for all the errors you're having. You may have a tool that's blocking your upload or worse your projects busted and you'll need to redo it all.

Managed to fix it thanks to the extra help of the stuff from wetcat, the issue was with the gesture layer portion of the animations. One of the comments on the avatar page had said to create an empty mask and put it on the first layer, however doing that created the issue of the static and sinking avatar. so I just removed the gesture controller and set it to the default, and it was fixed!

Yeah that is the first thing I did. I think I messed up because it either only sets gestures as in facial expressions or only hand movements with no gestures. Anyway to ensure both are enabled? I make both hands match but it is always one or the other. I didnt have this issue with other avis I fixed with gesture problems :/

For future projects, there isn't a point in running the test build as that won't allow you to get the full features as if it was in game. Even tho it may take longer, it is better to know what problems you run into in game.
If you don't see GoGo Loco anywhere in the package or on the avi, then check to see what locomotion it has already on it. Remove it or you can download the Locomotion Fix from Wetcat, I think, with a google search.

You just need to use the same animations as the right hand for the left hand. They're located within the animator tab where you would adjust the parameters and layers within the FX/Gesture layer.
Double check that the hand layers are setup correctly as well sometimes creators get lazy and don't bothering doing the other hand or forget. Being on Index I can understand how its forgetful as it doesn't matter what the hand animation is.

Delete the Editor folder in GestureManager>Scripts>
EDITOR
If more errors persist then remove those folders as well, all the SDK updates broke a lot of tools so their editors are broken. The tools themselves should still work as accordingly.

Could use some help with the Lori avatar. As xSushi said in the comments, "when i walk the avi goes about 75% in the grounds when i move [...] when i stop it pops back up to where i should be." There is also no animation for walking or jumping or anything, which makes me believe the issue is with animations related to those, however I am unsure as to how to fix the knowledge I have.

this happened to me earlier. I had to use creator companion and upgrade the sdk or something because the script was in 2021. I also had to do with the other person said and manage with a better tv script, I had the pro one and it caused me to crash when I used the tv

One of my friends fixed his problem by putting his FX layer or Gesture layer within the Animator for the avatar.
It seems they screwed up again with the SDK and now there's many different problems and specific solutions for gestures. You can try that and see if they'll work for you. Other than that I can either try and make a fix, just need the avatar(s).

ive uploaded the couple package and it has some issues with the pp , the pp on the male cant be seen on the one having the avatar , the others see it but it has a white texture on it , on the female there are options to put the pp on the head and hips but it doesnt work and togglign to world works but when you walk the pp moves on its own could someone help me with it?

I play on Index but with all the recent updates breaking gestures without a Gesture layer or an improper Gesture layer, I'd say it is better to have one. Plus it'll give you more customization and be less of an annoyance for more toggles and such on avis.
to answer your first question, as long as it's separate from the FX layer and on its own Gesture layer, it really doesn't matter what animation you choose to use.

Every time i try and upload an avatar i get the same error. FileNotFoundEexception prefab.unity3d does not exist. i follow the instruction correctly and it still does this and i don't know what to do.

Hand Open, Open, Open Hand... these could all be the open hand animation, in your case it is proxy hand open.

The Rose model uploaded just fine and everythings working for me.
When you go to Import the Rose package be sure to uncheck Poi Shaders,
DPS
, and SDK from the Import popup window. That is the only reason I can see why so many have issues with it.
For future reference, this should be a given... CHECK THE IMPORT WINDOW before you click the import button.

Spent the better half of 2 days trying to get the Rose stuff to work, looked up many possible solutions and tried them all from reopening the project (breaks the SDK completely), reimporting assets (didn't help).
Downloaded different versions of poi shaders even just to throw and see what stuck. "FileNotFoundException prefab.unity3d does not exist" is what I constantly get before and after deleting the script from Rose. And errors with script compiling. Nothing seems to be helping and I am fully stumped.
I never had an issue with a model as much as this one before so I'm wondering if it's something as small as shader and
dps
versions.
